Neil Swanson, known as Son Of Swan has been recognized by Grammy winning guitar icon Steve Vai for being one of the top 10 guitar players in the US, winning Guitar Center's Steve Vai Sessions contest. In 2014, Son Of Swan got a chance to open up for Vai on his Story Of Light Tour and backed up the guitar goddess herself, Orianthi. Neil Swanson, a Texas native, began his career playing in every band in every club he could in the Dallas area. Keeping “Dimebag” Darrell as inspiration, he cut his teeth the old fashioned way. After a few near successes with groups he was a part of, Neil decided he would focus on what he wanted to do artistically from the very beginning. That idea was a solo project called Son Of Swan. Son Of Swan is a project that combines powerful rock riffs and beautiful melody with electronic elements of modern music. The additional instrumental music elements are meant to push the boundaries of what popular music could be allowing the listener the opportunity to create their own ideas about what the music meant. The self-titled EP debut in Spring 2013 has gained him a tremendous following and acclaim from industry insiders and is bringing his modern twist to a genre he believes in. Following in the
